And Here is My Little Angel!

Auntie Kelly bought this cute little pink Ariel shirt and matching black tutu with sparkles for her... OMG!! She wore that thing EVERY SINGLE DAY for 6 months! I mean, it took a beating! I literally had to rip it off her body to wash it. It was a fight every time!!

So it's definitley too small for her now... not to mention, it's pretty rough shape! So guess what Ash got for Christmas from Auntie Kel?!? You guessed it! A new Ariel shirt and a new tutu and this time... WINGS!

So, I got her to pose for me and out of the 96 pictures, this is the only one that turned out semi non-corny. She's such a poser now! LOL

OMG, My Little Baby is 18 MONTHS OLD....

.... and I think I am handling it quite well.... excuse me while I go have a good cry!!! :(

I can't believe my little angel boy is 18 months already!! Gosh he has brought a lot of joy and laughter in the last 18 months!! The kid is just a card! He really is! He takes after his daddy and his Grandpa Ian. I've never seen a baby with more personality than this little guy... I mean TRULY, to know him is to LOVE the kid!

So while Ash was singing her full ABC's, counting to 20 (10 in spanish), knew the lyrics to at least 5 songs and was saying full 3-5 word sentences by this age, Jake can say Mama, Dada, bye bye, night night, soother, banana, ball, poop, Papa, milk (kinda), and Jaker (kinda). But the kid gives a mean hug and kiss! It'll really melt ya!

Where he lacks in speech he WELL makes up for it in his physical abilities. I think Ash just learned last year that she could use a stool or chair to climb on and get to things that were higher... Jake was doing that when he 11 months old! He's not an ounce shy and loves to laugh. He's sweet and kind and loving and I just can't say enough about my little man!!

His favorites things include Dora, high heels, bead necklaces, footballs, tools and being naked! I guess he's got a little influence from everyone. And the kid has got a million nicknames: Jake, Jaker, Jakey, munch, munchkin, bubba, Jake-a-roo, Jakey-bear... I don't know how he knows his name at all. =)

Anyways, Happy 18 month Birthday to my baby today! LOVE YOU MUNCH!

Graycen's Turning One!!!

It was our friends' (Tim and Kim) son's first birthday today and I took the kids to the party!! Oh my gosh he is cute!! How time flies eh? Click HERE to see the pics from his baby shower just under a year ago! My how he has changed!! (And thank god, so have my photography skills!!).

Ooooh! I can't wait!!

We're going to have our first real visit with Baby Reid tomorrow!! He'll be a week old. I can't wait! Hopefully they'll let me snap a few pics and I'll be sure to post them on the blog.

We're also going to Graycen's first birthday party on Sunday so I'm sure my camera will be with me. You can look forward to those photos as well!

I also just bought white seamless paper and am trying to perfect it before my boutique shoot. I'll post some Ash/Jake shots of those soon as well!

Welcome Baby Reid!! ... FINALLY!

We have a new addition to our Kirby family. Our nephew, baby Reid was born this morning to our brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Sadie. Of course, I zipped up there and took some quick shots of the little guy and he's just adorable! Take a look!

He was only about 5 hours old in these photos... can you believe it?!?

Meet Logan!

This is Logan!! I went to school with his mommy from elementary school and now her and Ted work together. She's going back to work in March after maternity leave and I'll be taking this little guy for her. I can't wait... he's such a little sweetheart! Him and Jake will get along so well!

They stopped by today for a little visit and I just couldn't resist putting him in front of the backdrop to snap a few pics! He's just such a cutie!!

My, How the Tables Have Turned!

For awhile there, I couldn't even get Ash to look at my camera, let alone smile! I had to rely on Jake to get my camera fill. Now look who's the smiley face!! I LOVE IT!

My Try at a Studio Set Up!

I'm thinking about getting in to studio lighting, etc. because of the dark days we have here in BC quite often in the winter. So here's my try at studio lighting (VERY cheap set up). But I thought I would share them here as they're kinda cute of the kids (who I had to bribe to pose for me!).

Losing Weight in 2008!

I've decided, with the inspiration of a client/friend of mine, that this is the year to get back in shape! No more pregnancies, no more nursing, no more babies... time to get back to the pre-pregnancy me!
