My Grammie sent this photo to me the other day. It's of her and my Papa at a Joni James concert. They've since been married for 52 years, after 50 of which, they renewed their vows in front of family and friends. Inspiring and overwhelming to say the least. See the necklace and earrings she was wearing? I wore those same pieces at my grad... and I can't wait for Ash to do the same.
She was 16 in this photo... beautiful wasn't she? But not nearly as beautiful as she is today. I found this quote a long time ago and filed it away:

"Grandma always made you feel she had been waiting to see just you all day and now the day was complete." ~Marcy DeMaree

This is my Grammie wrapped up in one little quote. She has 5 children, 13 grandchildren, two step grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. She is all of our biggest fan and cheerleader. You can't help but feel like you can do no wrong when you talk with my Grammie... she makes everyone feel special and unique. I wonder if she realizes that she is the one that special and unique. We don't tell her enough... I think I need to make a phone call!! :)

I love her to bits. We all do. :)

Photos of ME!

My good friend Shannon of Monkey Oranges Photography took me out last night and we did a shoot for my website. I needed some nice photos that I could put on my website and blog so we went down to Fort Langley and then to this awesome field we found on the way home.

I just love them! You can check the sneak peek out on her blog:
While you're there be sure to check out the rest of her work... she really is a talented and amazing photographer!

Thanks Shannon!! I had so much fun with you as usual! Can't wait for our next "sugar high"!!

And this....

After posting my 2008 goals, I feel the need to follow it up with this:

'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather
to skid in sideways - Cabernet in one hand, chocolate in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO!
What a Ride'

My 2008 Goals

Well I'm closing down my other blog so I thought I would transfer my 2008 goals post over here. Just because my blog is closing down, doesn't mean I'm not trying to reach all these goals. I just don't have the time to continue updating both blogs anymore. Thanks to all that visited my blog and continued to support me through it! :)

1. Lose 28 pounds... Get back down to my pre-pregnancies weight.

2. De-STRESS... Buy the book Don't Sweat the Small Stuff.

3. Time Management... Create some sort of daily schedule and stick to it!

4. Learn to Say No... I'm not superwoman, and I CAN'T do everything.

5. 4 Shoots a Month.... and STICK TO IT!! (Of course, exceptions here are time-sensitive shoots).

6. Save $$$... Cut out the frivolous spending. This means fast food, slurpees, etc. (see goal #1)

7. Me Time! ... Find some time for me (may take on the form of nightly walking/jogging).

8. Get SLEEP... no more 2am nights.

9. Photograph for fun... Not just work.

10. Slow down... take it all in.

Vegas is Catching Up...

I am just flat EXHAUSTED this morning. My eyes, my muscles, my brain... everything. I feel like I am a big ball of mush. And the worst part... there's so much to do! So much laundry, so much editing, so much cleaning, so much work. ugh.

Ok... shake it off! Enough with the pity party!! Sheesh!! Ok... because no post is good without a photo, here's a shot of Jakey in the hat I got him at the ESPN zone in Vegas. In case you can't read it, it says "Future Highlight". :)

Words to Live By

My Grammie sent these words to me today... Love them!

No one falls in love by choice,

It is by CHANCE.

No one stays in love by chance,

It is by WORK.

And no one falls out of love by chance,

It is by CHOICE.

6 Things

I was tagged by Cathy.

The meme topic is to share six unimportant things about myself and then to tag six other people to do the same thing.

Here are the rules:

1. Link back to the person who tagged you.

2. Post these rules on your blog.

3. Share six unimportant things about yourself.

4. Tag six random people at the end of your entry

So...Here is 6 things you probably did not need to know about me.

1. I'm a speed demon. I have a total lead foot... except when the kiddos are in the car of course!
2. I bite my nails... always have.
3. I have three scars on my body from various accidents resulting in stitches... all from under the age of 9.
4. In the last 5 years, I've already realized most of my life goals that I set in my early 20's. I have had to create new ones. :)
5. My best friend and I have been friends since Kindergarten (25 some odd years!). She then married my cousin and now her daughter and my daughter are blood relations. I find this to be a VERY cool fact in my life.
6. I never played softball.... I have always regretted that.

I now tag:
Auntie June

Woo, that was hard... I've come to the realisation that not a lot of my friends have blogs... come guys! Get out there... create yourself a blog!! Yeah. Cause that's all I need... more excuses to procrastinate!

Ok, Ok, Ok...

Here's the actual photos for all of you that were wondering...

LOL! And yes, Sarah, it was DEFINITELY drunk photoshopping!! I now know it's a dangerous thing to bring a laptop to Vegas! LOL!
